Chris Sharma is an American living in Barcelona, but a few times a year he gets back to his roots in California and goes to his old stomping and proving grounds like Yosemite and Bishop.

First Chris and his friend Tommy Caldwell, who have been climbing together around the world for over 20 years, met up in Yosemite and happened to have a free day together so they went out to work the late Dean Potter’s project on Leaning Tower. They sessioned, figured out a few sections, and left it for another day. But as Chris says:
“It’s a beautiful line.”
Then Chris went to Bishop on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas where he repeated the line “Everything is Karate”, which was rated 5.14c/d by Ethan Pringle who first sent the line.
