Black Crows Camox Freebird Ski

If you are looking for a great all around touring ski that can carve on groomers when necessary, is playful in powder, and light under your feet then you should consider the Camox Freebird. At 97mm underfoot and weighing just 3.2kg (~6.5 pounds) per pair at the 171 length, these things rip. Pair them with some Dynafit or Ion bindings and you have the ski you want as well as need.

Playful flex, classic camber and double rocker – all-terrain pleasure, touring style.

With good grip on hardpack, very stable at high speed and playful in powder, the Camox Freebird is an excellent touring set-up for skiers who ski a lot in a wide variety of conditions.

  • Paulownia and poplar core coated in two and three directional carbon and glass fibre give ski a noteworthy weight advantage compared to twin in the all mountain range
  • Early rise tail: a squared and progressive tail makes the camox playful in soft snow but also gives it better bite on hardpack and increased stability at high speed
  • Progressive front rocker and light back rocker – good pivot control, easy to handle, good float
  • Medium classic camber – classic camber underfoot with moderate ski contact – a good balance between stability and manoeuvrability
  • Slightly raised tail – softness at the end of the turn and practical for touring
  • Medium flex – a tolerant and comfortable ski
